PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Don't Let Fitness Testing Spook You

Category: Fitness Assessments

Suggested Grade Level: All

Materials: Background paper, letters for title, halloween pictures/materials, tips for fitness testing

I created this board because whenever it comes time to formally fitness test my students they get nervous. We do fitness activities all year, but because it has the word "testing" in it they worry. This board provides tips so that they students can relax, prepare, and just do their best. The five tips that I chose were Celebrate Your Improvements, Set a Goal, Be Prepared, Try Your Best/Believe In Yourself, and Don't Compare Yourself To Others. Under each tip, I provided examples/explanations. I chose a Halloween theme because we usually begin testing in October.
