PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Are You Heart Healthy?

Category: Health

Suggested Grade Level: All

Materials: Construction paper, felt, T-shirt, bandana, gloves, rope

We celebrate Heart Month in Physical Education during the month of February. The bulletin board shows examples of being heart healthy. We celebrate our students having a healthy heart. They participate in physical activities that teach them how to keep their heart strong and healthy. The question on the bulletin board is, "Are you heart healthy?" There is a person jumping rope. The person on the board is made with the following materials: The head is made out of felt with a paper heart as the face. The bandana is placed on the forehead as a sweatband. The body is a Jump Rope for Heart T-shirt with paper arms and legs. The hands are small white gloves with a piece of rope as a jump rope.
The hearts have photos of students participating in the heart activities that are done in Physical Education.

Additional Information:

This bulletin board is a great introduction to Heart Month. We add the photos on the hearts during the month as we discuss and learn new information about how we keep our heart strong.
