Title of Bulletin Board: I Love Fitness
Suggested Grade Level: K-12
Materials: border, staples, die cuts, fabric, pictures
This year I am teaching the 3rd graders about the 4 components of fitness. Each month I am covering a different component. January is cardiovascular. February is flexibility. March is body composition and April is muscular fitness, muscular strength and muscular endurance. This month the 3rd graders brought in a picture of them doing an activity that represents the cardiovascular component. In February, they will add to the bulletin board with flexibility pictures and so on.
Throughout the month we discuss and do activities that work on that component in PE class.
