PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Gold Medal Students (Olympic theme)

Category: Olympics

Suggested Grade Level: K-2

Materials: construction paper, letter cut-outs, plastic medals

This board is placed in a center hallway and it needed to welcome back all students. The London Summer Olympics were so exciting that this display seemed perfect! I found the idea of the little boy and girl cut-outs on a website and created the rest myself. I plan to talk about the summer Olympics a bit the first few days of school and use some of the Olympic events as themes for warm-ups.

Additional Information:

To make the little boy and girl is fairly simple since they are basically just cut-out shapes glued together. I found the gold letters at a local teacher supply store, but the red letters came from the Dollar Tree! The fake medals came from the $1.00 section at Target.
