Title of Bulletin Board: Bicycle Safety Checklist

Category: Bicycle Safety

Suggested Grade Level: k-12

Materials: paper (for words and background)

This bulletin board is used during the month of May to celebrate National Bike to School Day. This information serves as a reminder to be safe while biking in our community. Key points include: wear a helmet, wear safe clothing (bright colors, sneakers), use hand signals, follow traffic rules (go with the flow of traffic, look both ways), check your equipment (inflate tires, check brakes, fit the handle bars and bike seat to your size), and use lights and reflectors.
