Title of Bulletin Board: Chilled to the Bone

Category: About the Body

Suggested Grade Level: k-5

Materials: skeleton, hat, mittens, paper (letters and background)

This bulletin board is used while our students are learning major bones in the human body. Mnemonics are used to increase content mastery as we prepare for the final bone test. The mnemonics used include the following: touch your tibia, pat your patella, find your fibula, follow your femur, Elvis shakes his pelvis, very bumpy vertebrae, radius rotates, ulna is under, hug your humerus, stretch to your scapula, sing from your sternum, rub your ribs, see your skull, and clavicle collar.
