PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Basketball

Category: Adapted

Suggested Grade Level: All

Materials: Sound Devices, Brown, Red & White Paper, Basketball Pictures, Black marker and cut letters

My Basketball bulletin board was designed to allow students with developmental disabilities the opportunity to interact with the information presented using both visual and auditory senses. I used the who, what, when, where and why approach to display the most valuable and appropriate information to my population of students. I used communication devices and recorded the following statements in collaboration with appropriate pictures.

Sound devices that stated the following:
The Who: The students
The What: Basketball, Sneakers, Court and friends
The When: In School, After school, Any time
The Where: School, Park, Recreation Center and Home
They Why: Because its fun, makes me happy and its healthy
Sound Device playing the Harlem Globetrotters theme song

I designed the back ground of the bulletin board to represent a basketball court.
