PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Got Snow? Get Active!

Category: Outdoor Sports

Suggested Grade Level: K-2

Materials: Blue and white paper, Homemade snowflakes, Printed pictures of winter activities, Markers

This bulletin board gives examples of the variety of ways students can be active outdoors in the Winter time. The board uses a catchy phrase “Got Snow? Get Active!” to show students how fun it can be to get active in the Winter. This board is easy to create, using blue and white paper to simulate snow and the sky, along with photos of winter activities and cartoon images the kids will enjoy looking at. Extras can be added such as additional snowflakes or snowmen.

It is important to provide young students with information about outdoor activities they can participate in throughout the winter season, along within specific opportunities going on in the community.
