PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Clock Math

Category: Integration

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Materials: contruction paper

This is so easy! Cut out squares large enough for students to see. Write 1/4, 1/2, 3/4,1 or 0 for Fractions. Then also put ones that say 0 or 360 degrees, 90 degress, 180 degrees, 270 degrees and place around a clock.

I got this idea from a classroom teacher, but it works so well it the gym. It is an easy way to integrate in PE. Maybe your Principal will be impressed. I use it when in a variety of ways. Throw a ball and turn a 1/4 or 3/4 turn and catch it. Jump up and turn 180 degrees and land on your feet. Tell them if they forget what that is, they can refer to the clock.
