PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Welcome to Bobcat's Play Zone

Category: Integration

Suggested Grade Level: K-2

Materials: Paper, pens, decorations(flowers), favorite poem showing action words, die-cut machine

I used a poem to integrate action words/language arts with PE. The bobcat is our mascot. I made small cut-outs using a die machine and decorated the bobcats with stickers. This is at the entrance of the gym doors. The poem uses action words like bouncing, lightly, turning, drop, rolling, floating, climbing, and spinning. The flowers are optional, but I liked them because of the smiling faces which sets an emotionally safe tone for PE. I wanted the gym entrance to look inviting to all students.
