PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Starting off on the right foot

Category: Beginning of School

Suggested Grade Level: K-2

Materials: Paper sneaker copy, construction paper, Ellison Die Cutter

This bulletin board was designed to remind the students each time they come into the gym, the rules, and how to behave. We talked about appropriate ways to behave in class, and how doing the right thing, especially at the beginning of the year will help us throughout the year. My students each received a copy of a shoe that our art teacher drew. It was attached to a parent letter stating the gym rules and expectations. The students were able to design the shoe any way they chose to, write their name on the front, and return it to be hung by the gym doors.
