Title of Bulletin Board: Wash Your Germs Down the Drain

Materials: Background, border, letters, paper hands, pictures, printed words


The title of the bulletin board, “Wash Germs Down the Drain” runs across the top of the bulletin board. On the left side of the board there is a poster featuring five steps of how to wash your hands. Towards the center and on the right side of the board are five example with written explanations and pictures of when hand washing should take place, these are: if you are not feeling well, before and after an art project, after you sneeze, before and after you eat, and after a trip to the restroom. It has a purple background with a blue boarder with polka dots. There are brown and white hands in all four corners and sporadically placed on the board for decoration. The board is built in order to fulfill North Carolina State Health Standards: Competency Goal 2: The learner will develop knowledge and skills to enhance personal and consumer health; and Objective 2.01: Predict situations that should include hand washing and demonstrate correct hand washing technique.
