Title of Bulletin Board: Bone Knowledge

Category: About the Body

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Materials: Board paper, border, letters, cut out bones, skeleton

I like to introduce bones during the month of October because skeletons and Halloween go together. I have a board that the kids pass everyday and I decided to make it interactive. I have pairs of bones. On the top bone I have written a bone trivia question (i.e. How many bones are in our bodies?) and if you lift the bone, the bottom bone has the answer. I also have a skeleton with labeled bones on the board. As we pass the board I try to stump the kids with bone trivia.
