PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Playing by the Rules

Category: Rules

Suggested Grade Level: All

Materials: list of rules, letters, boarder, fabric for background

Panthers Playing by the Rules was constructed to aide my classroom management and to enable my students to be aware of expectations in Physical Education class. I included a panther because it is our school mascot. I found a paw print boarder to tie into the mascot theme. I chose to make the board black and red because those are our school colors.

Underneath the title of the bulletin board, I listed my classroom rules...

wear tennis shoes
freeze, look and listen
respect yourself, other and the equipment
always try your best
I included a list of consequences for breaking a rule...
quiet warning
time out- return when ready
time out remainder of class - parent contact
I also included the rewards of following the rules...
leadership opportunities
demonstrate a skill
help with equipment
