Title of Bulletin Board: Conquer The Green Circle Bike Club

Category: Fitness

Suggested Grade Level: 9-12

Materials: Saftey Helmets and Bicycles

The Club is a Teen Center of the Boys & Girls Club, it is a place for teens to come after school and during the summer. Teens, unlike children, require a different strategic approach to recruit and retain them and their attention spans. Staff have to come up with inventive ways to market, interact, and program with them. we have teens ranging from 13 to 18, so our programming ideas have to engage a wide audience.

The Conquer the Green Mile bulletin board was created to promote our summer bike club. We are currently biking our local Green Circle Trail 2-3 miles a week. The Green Circle Trail is a total of 30.5 miles and it weaves throughout our surronding communities.

The purpose of our bike club is to promote different forms of exercise, as well as gaining basic knowledge and familiarity of the Green Circle Trail.
The bulletin board itself promotes staying active and challenges club memebers to conquer the Green Circle.
