PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Great African American Athletes

Category: Integration

Suggested Grade Level: All

Materials: Construction Paper, Boarder,Letter Stencil, Internet, Printer, Stapler

This bulletin board was designed for my school to learn about great African American Athletes. The bulletin board was displayed in the month of February (African American Month) and has been modified over the years with different Athletes. For this board I researched the internet and printed out Bios of a few African American Athletes then printed them along with a picture of the Athlete. I also printed out pictures of several other African American Athletes and filled them in on the board where I felt was needed. All pictures of Athletes are attached with name tags. Any student who asked about the athletes just with name tags were encouraged to research those athletes and would be given a small award if the teacher felt they gained knowledge.
