PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Fitness Goals

Category: Fitness Assessments

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Materials: letters, pictures of exercises, fitness test forms

When my students do their fitness tests at the beginning of the year, they create a goal for the end of the year. They graph the initial test and their goal. When we take the tests throughout the year, they put that information on a chart and then on their graph. It is a good demonstration of math integration. For this bulletin board, I hung up some sample fitness tests. I also put up pictures of different exercises. If you have the SPARK curriculum, these pictures are from the instructional CD. I used this bulletin board as a reminder to work towards their fitness goals.
