Name of Activity: Prediction of Physical Activity Steps Using a Pedometer

Purpose of Activity: To use pedometers to work on the math skill of estimating.

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Description of Idea

Use the following worksheets to involve your students in activities with pedometers that also help them work on the math skill of estimating.

NOTE: This lesson has been written for the Adapted classes who must produce portfolio products for the MCAS Alternate Assessment.It incorporates the State Math Frameworks along with the Health Frameworks.
