Equipment Name: Cereal Box Targets
Materials Needed: Mini or individualized boxes and multi-packs of cereal, plus stickers, crayons, paste, photos all to decorate the boxes.
Estimated Cost: $2.00-$5.00
Rationale: The small boxes make wonderful targets for children to aim at and hit. These targets can be used for activities involving many fundamental skill areas. Also, the boxes serve as alternatives to the use of cones or other common low level targets. The boxes can be decorated to create a theme or integrate subject material from the academic classroom.
Directions For Making:
Simply tape up the boxes and either use empty or stuff with newspaper. If desired, decorate the boxes according to the activity theme
or add visual examples of classroom subject matter to the boxes.
