Equipment Name: Badminton Nets

Materials Needed: Plastic golf tubes, cones, string

Estimated Cost: $10.00

Rationale/Use: Explain to students that the only part of a net that is important in the game is the top so a string will work just as well. This way you can make the courts as large or small as you want to, depending on the string length. The students were able to take these nets and set them up anywhere in the gym so I was able to play singles and doubles rather than large games at my regulation standards.

Directions For Making:

Tie a piece of string of your desired length onto two golf tubes. Push the golf tubes into the top of a cone and slide the cones apart until the string is tight.
