Description of Idea

Beginning of Song:
"Fe fe fi fi fo fo fum,
I smell smoke in the auditorium."

Movements: Children are to move slowly at a low level.

CHORUS:
"Charlie Brown, Charlie Brown,
He's a clown, that Charlie Brown
He's gonna get caught, just you wait and see
'Why is everybody always pickin'' on me?'"

    Movements:

Each time the chorus plays, children jump up to a high level and begin to move like "Charlie Brown". They can choose their movements - you may need to give them cues like "he's a clown", "he likes the music", "he moves all his body to the music", etc.
On "why is everybody always pickin'g on me?" - all students freeze in their spot, and in unison, speak or pantomime the words while first shrugging their shoulders ("why is everybody..), and then pointing to themselves with their thumb ("...always pickin'g on me?")

Next Verse:
"That's him on his knees, I know that's him,
Yet its 7 come 11 in the boys gym."

Movements: Children are to move slowly at a low level.

CHORUS:
"Charlie Brown, Charlie Brown,
He's a clown, that Charlie Brown
He's gonna get caught, just you wait and see
'Why is everybody always pickin'' on me?'"

    Movements: Same as above.

Interlude:
"Who's always writing on the wall?
Who's always snooping in the hall?
Who's always throwing spit ball?
'Who me?'
'Yeah, you.'

Movements: Move fast at a high level. On "Who me"? the teacher yells it out, everyone freezes, and the children, in response, yell out "yeah, you!"

CHORUS:
"Charlie Brown, Charlie Brown,
He's a clown, that Charlie Brown
He's gonna get caught, just you wait and see
'Why is everybody always pickin' on me?'"

    Movements: Same as above.

HORN PLAYING Fast

He walks in the room, cool and slow,
Who calls the English teacher "Daddy O"?

Movements: Children are to move slowly at a low level.

CHORUS:
"Charlie Brown, Charlie Brown,
He's a clown, that Charlie Brown
He's gonna get caught, just you wait and see
'Why is everybody always pickin' on me?'"
