Purpose of Activity: To move creatively while practicing the movement concepts of Effort - fast/slow, Space Awareness - Levels and Self space, and Relationships - moving in unison. Prerequisites: Knowledge of the movement concepts listed above. Suggested Grade Level: K-3 Recommended music: Charlie Brown on the CD A Child's Celebration of Rock 'n' Roll
Beginning dance formation: Scattered throughout gym Description of Idea Beginning of Song: CHORUS: Each time the chorus plays, children jump up to a high level and begin to move like "Charlie Brown". They can choose their movements - you may need to give them cues like "he's a clown", "he likes the music", "he moves all his body to the music", etc.
