I will be starting my 11th year of teaching next year as a K-6 Health & Physical Education teacher at Dover Elementary in Dover, PA. In class I use technology, specifically iPods and QR Codes to deliver more engaging lessons. I have used Google Classroom, Plickers and SeeSaw apps as well. I am a huge proponent of Social Media to further my personal Professional Development. I have successfully written and received various grants including the Highmark Healthy High 5 and Dover Eagle Foundation Innovation grant. I’ve increased the physical activity opportunities for the students in my school by creating afterschool intramural programs including: running, volleyball and badminton. I have presented for over 4 years and love sharing my experiences with other physical educators.

Bio:
Brenda is an assistant professor in the Kinesiology Department at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. She has been in education for over 40 years starting as a high school physical education teacher as well as a tennis, track and field and cross country coach. She has been teaching at the university level for 15 years. She has made over 28 national peer reviewed presentations and she has been the Dance Managing Editor for PE Central for over 10 years. Brenda frequently conducts professional development workshops throughout the Midwest and in 1997 Brenda was the Missouri (MOAHPERD) and Central District of SHAPE America Dance Educator of the Year.

Bio:
Sandy is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin La Crosse, received her masters from Marian University, is certified in adapted physical education and has over 30 years of experience teaching elementary physical education. She is the author of "Teaching Children Responsible Behavior, A Complete Toolkit". The book is based on Dr. Don Hellison's work with TPSR, teaching children personal and social responsibility. Sandy has received the WHPE Recognition award for her contributions to our profession, named the WHPE Elementary Teacher of the Year in 2009 and was on the state standards team. She has been awarded the Kohl Fellowship award in 2010 for inspiring the love of learning, showing leadership and service both in and out of the classroom along with the Green Bay Area Golden Apple in 1997 for her innovative use of literature in physical education. As a Wisconsin Fuel Up To Play 60 MVP she has contributed many of her success stories at workshops and state conventions. Sandy has presented at technology and wellness conferences in Wisconsin and both at the national and state level for physical education.

Apps In Motion is a presentation that shows how non traditional and traditional apps can be used in elementary PE. Cindy Kuhrasch has had the opportunity to teach Health and Physical education to students in grades K-12, and undergraduate students as well. She is currently employed as a faculty associate in the Kinesiology Department at the University of Wisconsin where she teaches courses in methodology, assessment community development and kinesiology. In addition, Cindy has served as a consultant in many school districts, working in the areas of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and technology. Cindy has over 25 years’ experience in course development, implementation and evaluation. She has presented on a wide variety of education topics at state, district, and national conventions, and has written numerous articles published in national educational journals.

Bio:
Dr. Joanne Leight serves as professor and assistant chair of the Department of Physical and Health Education at Slippery Rock University. Since arriving at SRU in 1996, Leight has taught 23 different courses and created a Minor in Coaching. She currently serves as NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative for the university, and also a Teaching Fellow, overseeing the Center for Teaching and Learning at SRU. She earned her B.S. degree and M.S. from SRU and her Doctorate of Education from Duquesne University.
Dr. Leight has a passion for technology. She served on the NASPE Pipeline Technology Committee, and also served a three-year term as technology editor for the Journal of Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (JOPERD). She is currently the Technology Chair for the Pennsylvania State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (PSAHPERD). Her professional accomplishments include numerous technology-focused presentations, publications, and grants. She is the author of Technology for Physical Education Teacher Education, now in it's second edition. She is also a Google Certified Innovator.

Joe is an elementary Physical Education teacher in Farmington, MN. Joe was recognized as the 2012 MN SHAPE Elementary Teacher of the Year and has presented nationally on many topics. Jorge Rodriguez is originally from McAllen, Texas and now lives in Houston. He attended the University of Houston where he was a high jumper on the track team and earned his Bachelors degree in Kinesiology with a minor in health. Jorge later went on to receive his Masters degree in Educational Leadership from American College of Education. He is currently a physical education teacher at Harvard Elementary (an IB and STEM magnet school) in the Houston Independent School District, and is a Lead Teacher and the KEY teacher for physical education for the district. He is also an active member in Texas AHPERD, and sits on the recreation and social media committees and chairs the diversity section. Dave has been a Physical Education teacher in Paulding County, GA since 1997. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Kennesaw State and his Master’s degree in Physical Education Curriculum and Instruction from Western Kentucky. He opened Nebo Elementary school where he built a well-respected program and earned Teacher of the Year in 2012. He earned Teacher of Year in 2015 for his innovative program at P.B. Ritch Middle School. Dave also was awarded the prestigious 2015 GAHPERD and Southern District SHAPE America Middle School Teacher of the Year. He has also served as the volunteer elementary and middle physical education professional development coordinator for his district. In 2008, Dave was selected to be on a team of sixteen physical education specialists to write the current Georgia Physical Education Standards. Dave developed the “PEPALOOZA Workshops” and has presented at many local, state and national conventions. He has secured over $40,000 in grants that have led to the purchase of classroom sets of equipment that have allowed many middle school students to experience activities such as rugby, disc golf, longboarding, circus arts, fly fishing, back packing, yoga and mountain biking. Dave also enjoys adding technology to his teaching at every chance he can using many apps that encourage his kids to stay active in the 21st century.

Misti Wajciechowski is an assistant professor at Virginia Commonwealth University in the School of Education. She has 18 years of public school experience and currently is in her fourth year in higher education. She received her Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from VCU, is Nationally Board Certified, and is working toward her PhD in education. She has presented at the National, State, and local levels specifically on the topics of pedagogy and incorporating technology into the field of health and physical education as a means to enhance the educational experience for students. Misti was chosen as the Virginia Middle School Physical Educator of the Year in 2004, the National Health Educator K-12 in 2010, and was just recently selected as the College/University Physical Educator for the state of Virginia for 2015. She also just recently presented Project Based Learning in Secondary PE to the PE teachers in Henry County GA in March of 2016 with two other PE Central Presenters.
