Bio:
Brenda is an assistant professor in the Kinesiology Department at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. She has been in education for over 40 years starting as a high school physical education teacher as well as a tennis, track and field and cross country coach. She has been teaching at the university level for 15 years. She has made over 28 national peer reviewed presentations and she has been the Dance Managing Editor for PE Central for over 10 years. Brenda frequently conducts professional development workshops throughout the Midwest and in 1997 Brenda was the Missouri (MOAHPERD) and Central District of SHAPE America Dance Educator of the Year.

Bio:
Sally Hope’s motivating, “hands on” presentations are presented with knowledge gained in 30+ years of experience teaching diverse populations and grade levels in a wide variety of teaching situations in states spanning the country from Florida to Wyoming. Her most recent experiences have been as a pedagogy instructor at the university level with stints at the University of Louisville, Eastern Kentucky University, Purdue University and Western Kentucky University. In 2006, Sally was selected as KAHPERD’s Outstanding University Physical Educator. She has regularly presented at state, regional and national conventions and workshops for over 20 years. She is a Physical Best Instructor, a PYFP Trainer and a PAL Trainer. Her involvement in state professional organizations and SHAPE America has enabled her to stay abreast of current trends in Physical Education, with particular interest in the areas of best practices, assessment and (everyone’s favorite) new activity ideas!

Francis M. Kozub

Bio:
Dr. Kozub is a full professor at the College at Brockport and has taught at the University level since 1997. His primary research interests have focused on teaching children with disabilities, motivation and physical activity behaviors in individuals with and without disabilities. In the late 1980's and early 90's, Dr. Kozub was a physical educator in the public schools of New York and coached football, baseball, and basketball. Dr. Kozub is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (NSCA) and has competed nationally in both powerlifting and olympic style weight lifting. He has been a powerlifting coach for athletes with intellectual disabilities for the past four years and has prepared lifters for regional and state powerlifting meets.

Bio:
Ingrid Johnson is an associate professor in the Movement Science Department at Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI. She has been in education for over 24 years starting as a middle school teacher. She has taught PE to students in grades K-12 in several states as well as internationally. Ingrid had been teaching at the university level for 17 years. She has made over 50 presentations at the state, regional, national and international venues. Ingrid has served on the PE Central Editorial review board since 2003. She regularly conducts professional development workshops for teachers in the Grand Rapids, MI area. In 2014, Ingrid was awarded the Outstanding University Educator by the Michigan Association for Health, PE, Recreation and Dance. In 2007 she was presented with the University of Arizona College of Education Outstanding Service Award. In 2004 Ingrid was named by the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance as the Mable Lee Award recipient for Outstanding Young Professional.

Bio:
Cindy Kuhrasch has had the opportunity to teach Health and Physical education to students in grades K-12, and undergraduate students as well. She is currently employed as a faculty associate in the Kinesiology Department at the University of Wisconsin where she teaches courses in methodology, assessment community development and kinesiology. In addition, Cindy has served as a consultant in many school districts, working in the areas of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and technology. Cindy has over 25 years’ experience in course development, implementation and evaluation. She has presented on a wide variety of education topics at state, district, and national conventions, and has written numerous articles published in national educational journals.

Bio:
Dr. Brian Mosier taught physical education for four years (2001-2005) at public schools in Tallahassee, FL, while earning a master degree in Sport Management. Brian then was an instructor at the Florida State University (2005-2010) while completing his doctoral degree in physical education, and is currently in his seventh year as an associate professor at the University of West Georgia and is the Department Chair of Sport Management, Wellness, and Physical Education. His research interests focus on the promotion of physical activity, effective teaching and supervision, and online learning. Brian contributes to the profession by publishing and presenting at the national, state, and local levels. Brian is currently a Master Trainer for the Presidential Youth Fitness Program, Technology Tips Editor for the Journal of Physical Education, Recreation & Dance, the GDOE Physical Activity/Physical Education Committee, and is the GAHPERD State Fitness Coordinator.

Bio:
Jorge Rodriguez is originally from McAllen, Texas and now lives in Houston. He attended the University of Houston where he was a high jumper on the track team and earned his Bachelors degree in Kinesiology with a minor in health. Jorge later went on to receive his Masters degree in Educational Leadership from American College of Education. He is currently a physical education teacher at Harvard Elementary (an IB and STEM magnet school) in the Houston Independent School District, and is a Lead Teacher and the KEY teacher for physical education for the district. He is also an active member in Texas AHPERD, and sits on the recreation and social media committees and chairs the diversity section. Jorge absolutely loves his profession and is dedicated to do all he can to make it better!

Bio:
Scott Ronspies is an Associate Professor at Eastern Illinois University in the Department of Kinesiology and Sports Studies. My research interests include physical activity/fitness promotion and assessment in youth, youth obesity, curricular/instructional models, effective teaching constructs, and academic achievement and fitness. The courses I teach at EIU include Elementary Physical Education Content (KSS 2400), Elementary & Secondary Physical Education Methods (KSS 3400/3401), and Graduate Research Methods (KSS 5000). I received my Ph.D. in Sport Pedagogy from the University of Northern Colorado. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, fishing, and reading.

Bio:
Takahiro Sato is a Japanese native and an associate professor of Adapted Physical Education in the School of Teaching, Learning, and Curriculum Studies at Kent State University. Takahiro's scholarly interests focus on physical education teachers' beliefs on teaching students with disabilities, diversity and social justice of students and teachers of color in physical education, and international students' experiences in higher education. He is a nationally certified Adapted Physical Educator and a Fellow of the Research Consortium of SHAPE America. He is currently offering Ohio APE graduate endorsement approved by Ohio Department of Education. His program develops collaborative relationships with interdisciplinary faculty colleagues, students, and PE and APE teachers engaging in the program examination of learning.

Bio:
My name is Kevin Tiller and I am the Physical Education teacher at West Elementary School in Andover, Massachusetts. I have been a Physical Education teacher for 20+ years both in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. I graduated from Plymouth State University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education (Teacher Certification concentration). I then graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1996 with a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology (Adapted Physical Education concentration). Bio:
Misti Wajciechowski is an assistant professor at Virginia Commonwealth University in the School of Education. She has 18 years of public school experience and currently is in her fourth year in higher education. She received her Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from VCU, is Nationally Board Certified, and is working toward her PhD in education. She has presented at the National, State, and local levels specifically on the topics of pedagogy and incorporating technology into the field of health and physical education as a means to enhance the educational experience for students. Misti was chosen as the Virginia Middle School Physical Educator of the Year in 2004, the National Health Educator K-12 in 2010, and was just recently selected as the College/University Physical Educator for the state of Virginia for 2015. She also just recently presented Project Based Learning in Secondary PE to the PE teachers in Henry County GA in March of 2016 with two other PE Central Presenters.

Keynote Topics:

The importance of starting P.E. and fitness in children beginning with preschool. Lots of statistics on how large corporations are already influencing young children to be inactive, eat poorly and develop unhealthy lifestyle habits. People need to be motivated to start the process of teaching nutrition and physical skills/activity to children as young as age 2 to prevent diseases now being seen in childhood. By the time children are in the elementary grades it's much harder and critical times for learning skills may have passed.

Bio:
Tom Winiecki is a Physical Education teacher in the Fayetteville-Manlius School District in Central New York State. He has taught at the elementary level since 1981. He was named the NYSAHPERD Central North Zone Elementary Teacher of the Year in 2003, the NYSAHPERD Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the year in 2010 and the NFL Network Physical Education Teacher of the Year in 2013. Tom was National Board Certified in 2005 and re-certified in 2015. He serves on the District Curriculum Council, Technology Committee and Wellness Committee at Fayetteville-Manlius. He is also the K-12 Physical Education Curriculum Coordinator at Fayetteville-Manlius. He has presented at the local, zone, state and national level on a wide range of topics related to physical education. Tom has also taught as an adjunct professor at Syracuse University in 2007. He has been a Section Editor for PHEAmerica (formally PELINKS4U) since 2000.
