PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Archery Safety

Category: Sports

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Materials: I used a computer publishing program to make lettering, and pictures.

This bulletin board is used to help educate our students on safety while doing archery activities. Children are taught the meaning of each whistle, as well as the safety lines. Students have a hard time understanding the concept of "straddle" therefore I've placed 2 feet on the shooting line to demonstrate the procedure. The whistle rules and line formations follow NASP guidelines for the Archery in School Program.
