PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Kids In Action

Category: Motivation

Suggested Grade Level: K-12

Materials: Cut out letters construcution paper kid pictures

The following is a sample of a parent letter describing and asking students to participate in out "Kids in Action" bulletin board.

Dear Kindergarten Parents/Guardians,

The physical education teachers are creating a space on the bulletin board outside the big gym called “Kids in Action”. We are asking for you to bring in one picture of your child performing some kind of physically activity. Each month a different grade level will be selected as the “kids in action”. The month of October has been assigned to Kindergarten students, so please send a picture of your child with them to school. We will like to start collecting the pictures now to get them ready to hang on the bulletin board. We will continue to hang pictures throughout the month, so you have the entire month to send in a picture. We look forward in receiving several pictures throughout the school year of students participating in a variety of physical activities that helps keep them fit and healthy.

Additional Information:

I send the parent letter home on the 15th, the month before to start the collect and prep the bulletin board.
