PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: AIDS Quilt

Category: Health

Suggested Grade Level: 4-12

Materials: Letter die cuts, staples, posterboard, and markers

This bulletin board promotes AIDS prevention. In class we discuss AIDS and prevention techniques such as not becoming blood brothers or do not share needles for piercings. In groups of 3-4 students work on putting the pieces of the quilt together each patch showing a different way to take a preventative measure. Then they are drawn on the quilt and each groups quilt is stapled together on the bulletin board to create a large quilt.
