PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Basic Skills in PE

Category: Skill Themes

Suggested Grade Level: 3-8

Materials: Poster Board, Dye cutter, construction paper, clip art

This bulletin was made for our Basic Skills unit. During this unit we discussed Locomotor skills, Non-Locomotor skills, Body Awareness, and Manipulative Skills. This bulletin board was used to show the vocabulary for each particular skill. I set the categories up like a Scrabble game. I also used Clip Art for the lower grades so they could see what the words were with the pictures.

I made this bulletin board by cutting out all of the letters with a dye cutter and pasting them on to a poster board. I used clip art for a visual prospective for the younger students. It was a lot of work to cut out all the letters, but it was well worth it in the end!
