Title of Bulletin Board: How Are You Active

Category: Physical Activities

Suggested Grade Level: All

Materials: border, letters, pictures

Description:

This bulletin board makes students aware of different ways they can be active in their lives. Under the heading "How Are You Active", I listed three subtitles. The first is lifestyle activity. I put pictures titled take the stairs, walk instead of ride, yard work and play active games. Under the recreation subtitle, I put pictures of hiking, basketball, dancing and tennis. Finally, under sports and active aerobics, I put pictures titled jogging, biking, swimming and treadmill.

I did a similar bulletin board but I asked the kids to bring in pictures of themselves doing different activities. I have received some interesting pictures, like gymnastics, competitive swimming, playing in the snow, fishing, bike riding, etc. I even posted a picture of myself doing indoor skydiving. The board is still growing.
