PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Oh Fitness Tree

Category: Holiday-Christmas/Winter

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Materials: Butcher Paper, Jumprope (optional)

This board is a student interactive board that is designed to assess student knowledge of the fitness components! Students in 3rd-5th (or 6-8th) can select an ornament representing one of the components then write an activity that correlates with the selected component (i.e. students who select the heart ornament for cardio-respiratory endurance could write jumping rope, jogging, swimming etc. to show they know an activity that can improve cardio-respiratory endurance.)
Teachers pre-select the ornament shapes, colors etc. and make a key to show which ornament represents which components. Add some snowflakes and this board looks great through the whole winter season!
