PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Halloween Safety Tips

Category: Holiday-Halloween

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Materials: Halloween paper skeletons, ghosts, cats, and any other friendly Halloween items you can find.

I use the skeletons and ghosts (and sometimes the scary cat) to display the safety tips for Halloween. I position them in different ways each year. Sometimes they are laying around or standing holding signs, sometimes they are doing exercises (jumping rope, dribbling a ball, pushups, etc.)

The safety tips I have displayed on the cards are as follows:

*have your parents check your candy
*wear bright clothes and comfortable shoes
*watch where you are going
*walk in brightly lit areas and stay off the roads
*stay in a group

You can come up with many more safety tips specific to your area to remind students to be safe during Halloween.
