PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: "I Am"

Category: Character Education

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Materials: Sentence strips, letters, border

I was teaching a basketball unit and several of my kids started telling me "I am not good at basketball". This started a conversation about how we are all different and how we all have strengths and weaknesses. So I asked each of my 4/5/6 grade students to think about themselves and to choose one word that describes them using the prompt "I Am". This was a great way for kids to be proud of who they are and allow others to see as well. This was a really great activity for both myself and my students.
