Title of Bulletin Board: How to Achieve Success

Category: Olympics

Suggested Grade Level: 6-12

Materials: Paper for background and border, Cut out letters for the main message, Pick roughly 15 athletes from Olympics and print their picture, name, and how many medals won.

This board is a motivator to students to work hard in order to reach success. I used the Rio Olympics to help showcase this. I printed numerous USA competitors that received medals. Some that I chose were Michael Phelps, Simone Biles, Katie Ledecky, Galen Rupp, and Ashton Eaton, and more. Next to their picture I wrote their name, sport, and what medals they received. At the very bottom of the board I wrote how many medals the US got in gold, silver, and bronze.

Motivating students to always do their best is important. I like the reference to the Olympics. Showing various Olympic athletes can help be a positive motivator for students in class. Good board.
