PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Health, Driver's Ed and Physical Education

Category: Health

Suggested Grade Level: 9-12

Materials: Construction Paper, Paint Markers, Cricut Machine

Each of the Road or Car Gauges or Warning Lights are tied to Health and Physical Education. For Example: the Low Tire Pressure was tied to feeling under pressure in life. Thumbs Up over Engine was tied to regular health checkups. School Zone was linked to improved cognitive performance due to 1 hour of daily physical activity. Fuel Gauge - Making sure to choose good fuel sources for your body just as you would not put cheap gasoline in your car. The squad car was about making good choices even when no one was watching. Stop sign – take the time to be with family and friends and build those relationships. Low Battery – Make sure to recharge your battery and get enough sleep. Kids require more sleep than adults. You really can adapt any of these to your health curriculum.
