PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Get the Facts!

Category: Nutrition

Suggested Grade Level: 4-12

Materials: butcher paper, border, card stock, empty food boxs and nutrition labels, nutrition facts poster

Have students bring empty food packages for this so they have input and it applies to the foods they eat. The nutrition facts poster is a free printable on the link below. On the left side I listed ingredients and hid the packaging underneath. The first is macaroni shells and the bottom is chocolate milk. On the right side I compared two food labels for calories per serving and then have a hidden answer with a greater than or less than sign. Cool way to get students involved in the display both by helping create it and making it interactive.
