PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Frisbee!

Category: Sports

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Materials: photos, articles, construction paper, letters, stapler

The board was developed to introduce students to the skills, knowledge and dispositions needed to play the Frisbee sports of ultimate, freestyle Frisbee and Frisbee golf. Pictures of people, including myself, rules and regulations, and articles about the three sports are highlighted, along with the actual Frisbees used in each of the sports. The different types of throws are also on the board, with how to throw them. A Frisbee golf score card is posted, as well as a "Master's test" of Frisbee skills.

Additional Information:

The board can be used as an actual teaching tool, as the golf score card can be explained, as well as the different throws highlighted. The board also contains many resources, from the spin jammer video, to rules of the game, to articles highlighting the different sports.
