PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Yoga: Just Breathe

Category: Yoga

Suggested Grade Level: All

Materials: die cuts, paper, border, printed out pictures

This board was made for a Yoga unit to get the students excited about it and to show some of the yoga poses we will be doing and the benefits of them.

The central question on the board is "What is yoga to you?"
This gets students to think about what yoga does for them.
Does it relax them or improve their flexibility?
Does it help calm them or does it improve their overall well-being and help them to feel healthier?
Or does it do all of these things.

I found pictures online of the yoga poses I wanted to use, printed them off and cut out the names of the poses using die cuts.

I put the corpse pose as resting pose instead because the word corpse can be too gruesome for elementary students.
