PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: EAT GREEN FOR GOOD HEALTH (St. Patrick's Day)

Category: Holiday-St. Patrick's Day

Suggested Grade Level: k-5

Materials: White paper for background, green garland, purchased hats, "gold" letters, construction paper, copy paper for letters and pictures

This board was put up in March to show the variety of green foods available, to relate it to St. Patrick's Day. Rolled white paper was used for the background. Green garland, left over from Christmas, was used for the border and the word, "Green." A gold pot was cut out of construction paper. All of the green fruits and vegetables coming out of the pot were clip art or photos, copied onto paper. The gold-edged green letters for the title were made on the computer and cut out. The hats on the "lime" characters were purchased at a craft store, but they could be cut out of construction paper.
