PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: IT'S OCTOBER, HAVE FUN (Halloween)

Category: Holiday-Halloween

Suggested Grade Level: k-5

Materials: Black roll of paper for background, orange and white paper for title, clip art Halloween characters and props

This board was put up to remind students to get 60 minutes of physical activity per day, and to show it with an October theme. The three orange title sheets say, "It's October, have fun," "60 minutes of active play per day," and "for EVERYONE!" All of the Halloween characters are doing something active: spiders playing soccer; a pumpkin jogging; ghosts turning a rope while a bat jumps; a monster with a canoe; a cat on a skateboard; a spider on a skateboard; a devil on top of a jungle gym; a pumpkin on Roller blades; and a mummy chasing a ghost with a football wearing a flag football belt. Orange decorating tape was used as a border.
