PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Back to School Rules Review

Category: Beginning of School

Suggested Grade Level: K-2

Materials: Construction paper, glue, computer/printer, stapler, scissors, black marker, sheet roll paper and any decorative boarder.

Teaching elementary PE, I need to have a bulletin board that is
"kid friendly" for all of the different grade levels that I teach (K-6th). For my welcome back/rules review bulletin board this year, I chose the theme of bees and came up with the phrase, "Our Hive Jives When We All Follow the Rules".

For this bulletin board, I used my computer and printed the phrase rather than making die cut letters. (I did this mainly to save time but also to allow for more space on my bulletin board). I matted my phrase onto construction paper that contrasted the background color of my bulletin board. Around my phrase, I stapled 10 bees that I created out of construction paper and glue. Alongside of each bee is one of my 10 classroom rules. I finished the bulletin board with cloud border to fit the bee/outdoor theme.
