PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Family Fitness Calendar

Category: Fitness

Suggested Grade Level: 1-8

Materials: Google images, Microsoft Publisher, folder

I decided to make family fitness calendars to help bring fitness into the New Year. Each day has a new task. For example: Turn the radio on and dance for 10 minutes. Students put an “X” through the day they completed. Weekends are makeup days. Parents/caregivers sign the calendar and the student returns it at the end of the month. I make it a fun class vs. class competition. I also ask questions on the back of the calendar. For example: What was your favorite activity/exercise?
