PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Winter Wonderland

Category: Fitness

Suggested Grade Level: k-12

Materials: Two lit snowmen, butcher block paper, white colored tinsel, marker and paper, coffee filters

We are beginning a Couch to 5K program, along with a race in May coordinated by the local Healthcare Partnership in our area. We felt it would be fit with the season, and in a humorous way orchestrate with our training to begin for these walking initiatives and programs. The kids were excited about it. We will eventually die cut snowflakes with students names on them, and have them record their fitness walk/jog/run laps on them.

Just cut coffee filters to make snowflakes. You can use cotton for snow and outline a snowman with lights if you have a power source nearby.
