PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Faster Higher Stronger!

Category: Olympics

Suggested Grade Level: K-2

Materials: Construction papper, Letters and access to a computer and printer

In honor of the Olympic games this summer my "welcome" poster has an Olympic theme. The center of the poster are the Olympic rings with a tag that states what each color stands for (also things we work on in PE). Blue represents participation, black excellence, red hope, yellow competition and green unity. Also on the board is the Olympic torch with a tag next to it that says, "We carry our "torch" of fitness for a lifetime of health". Each of the flames of the torch have a tag with a health topic that we will cover over the year- bones, muscles, nutrition, disease prevention, etc. Also on the board are pictures of the American gold metal athletes from the games. Lastly there is a gold metal with a tag that states "all (mascot) strive for gold with personal fitness"

I like this! I was going to go with an Olympic theme on my door for the first month of school. Gives me good inspiration! Great!
