Title of Bulletin Board: Wellness Wall

Category: Fitness

Suggested Grade Level: K-2

Materials: 2.5 x 3 ft. color paper - laminated, border, if desires, photo camera, printer, glue gun/tape/velcro to attach board to the wall

Students are given worksheet with 30 lines for recording homework rope jumping. It includes date, time of jumping, and parent initial block. Students need to practice jumping with a rope for 30 days (not necessarily consecutive days). When they bring the worksheet back, I award them in morning news with a new jump rope, a set of 30 sport beads and cord to make bracelet or necklace and certificate congratulating them to grow a healthy hart. I take their photos and place them on our Wellness Wall. This is a very difficult challenge, so I don't have any deadline. It is year round challenge. The purpose is to motivate students to practice rope jumping.
