PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: It might be Cold Outside

Category: Physical Activities

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Materials: Letters (or make your own), blown up clip art of cold activities

With pre-cut letters I wrote out "It might be cold outside, but Amesse (name of school) students still Play 60." We talk a lot about how important it is to play 60 minutes a day so the kids knew what it meant. Since the weather was cold, I placed pictures around the bullentin board to give students ideas of what they could be doing even in the cold. I placed various pictures of Fall, like kids playing in piles of leaves, to Winter, snowball fights, sledding and such.
