PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Gobble Up The Good Stuff (Thanksgiving)

Category: Holiday-Thanksgiving

Suggested Grade Level: All

Materials: Bulletin Board, Turkey with feathers, Healthy foods cut out, Die-Cut Letters

The bulletin board was created for Thanksgiving. We started a new health program this year that is helping the kids learn at an early age how to stay healthy. The various topics of the health videos are on food choices, activity, body systems etc. I thought it would be fitting to have a bulletin board in the gym to go along with the topic of "healthy eating". So I came up with the idea of "Gobble Up The Good Stuff". It has pictured on the bulletin board a turkey who has all different types of "good/healthy" food on boths sides of the board. Our hope is to reinforce what foods the kids should try to choose if they can!

The bulletin board has the words "Gobble Up The Good Stuff" at the top with a turkey that is about 2 1/2 feet tall in the middle then pictures of some of the "good/healthy" foods we would like our kids to choose if they can!
