PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Gobbling Up Healthy Snacks (Thanksgiving)

Category: Holiday-Thanksgiving

Suggested Grade Level: All

Materials: Construction paper, hand template for students, scissors, coloring supplies

To make this November bulletin board I used construction paper to cut out the body of a turkey and the title of the bulletin board, "Look Who's Gobbling Up Handfuls of Healthy Snacks!" I enlisted the help of my health classes to make the feathers of the turkey. Each student drew a picture of their favorite healthy snack on a hand template. They then cut and colored their "healthy hands". I used the hands to create the turkey's feathers. The students really enjoy walking by the bulletin board and comparing their favorite healthy foods with other students' choices! This bulletin board gave me a chance to showcase all of my students (K-4) thoughts and work in one cohesive Thanksgiving inspired board.
