PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Our Goals For PE

Category: Goal Setting

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Materials: Pictures of soccer goal, lacrosse goal, hockey goal, etc. Small pieces if paper with soccer ball, hockey puck for writing goals, pencils and push pins

This Board is designed to offer suggestions for goal setting and encourage students to be thoughtful about there own goals.

I built this board to give students a place to write down there goals for this year. By having goals in writing students can remember what they wish to achieve and see what other students might be thinking about ways in which they would like to improve. Goals can be about a character trait, physical achievement, or effort. I simply ask students to think about something they can improve and/or achieve while in PE class.I included a "pouch" with pencils and small note paper for writing down goals. I used pushpins and secure with staples after I have read them over. Sticky pads may work too. The pouch that holds small golf like pencils is an old name tag holder from one of our National Conventions.
