PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Jumping Rope

Category: Skill Themes

Suggested Grade Level: 1-5

Materials: red hearts, cartoon pictures of kids,

The bulletin board was built for my jump rope unit and jump for heart week. It gives our kids several messages 1) take care of your heart 2) what I look like as a beginning jumper 3) were I can go and how happy I will be as an expert jumper. The bulletin board has pictures of beginning jump ropers with little messages of encouragement progressing to a happy person jump roping continuously. A child can have fun while they jump rope. Hearts are randomly placed on the bulletin board and around the gym to symbolize jumping rope is terrific for your heart.
