PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Say Boo! to Drugs

Category: Special Events

Suggested Grade Level: 3-12

Materials: yarn, fake spider web, colored computer paper, fake spiders and bugs, black and purple butcher paper, glue and tape

You can make this on a bulletin board, but we had a door decorating contest -- so I used my gym entry door.

Cover the board with purple butcher paper. String the fake spider web randomly across paper attaching with hot glue. Glue fake spiders all over the web and wrap some other bugs in the webbing as if they were caught. Print out the words "Don't get caught in an unhealthy web" and place on the web. Above the board print out "Say Boo! to Drugs". Hang large dollar store spiders from the ceiling or taped to board.

Beside the door I made a giant spider out of black butcher paper and made a web for him to "crawl" on out of multi-colored yarn.

The kids got a real kick out of it.

This was used for Red Ribbon Week.
