PEC: Bulletin Boards for Physical Education

Title of Bulletin Board: Sweating Is Good BUT Deodorant Is Better!

Category: Health

Suggested Grade Level: 6-8

Materials: Butcher paper, construction paper, sharpie, scissors, stapler, and a glue stick.

The board reads as follows; "PE - Where Sweating Is Good But Deodorant Is Better." In the bottom hand corner is a deodorant stick which reads; "Old Chesterbrook Spice" with Chesterbrook being the name of the school where I teach. This was put up to start of the year in order to let kids know that they would be working hard in the gym and they are also expected to participate in healthy hygienic practices. The kids, faculty, administration, and parents seem to take notice of it and have a chuckle.
